CUSTOM SUPREME T-SHIRT

Supreme is a popular brand and their clothes go for an extremely high price. There are several different types of clothes that they have released. The one we are replicating is the box logo shirt which is a t-shirt that goes for an extreme amount of money which means that not everyone can buy them. That’s why today I will be showing you how to make one.

Materials:

White shirt (any size)

Fabric paint (red)

Scissors (Or an exact-O-knife)

Tape (Any size or color but the best is painting tape)

Pencils (A medium size one and one with a narrow tip)

1.     

First of all, you should get a white t-shirt that fits your body well. This t-shirt should be as clean as possible but as you lay it out you go with a clean cloth and wipe the chest area of the t-shirt for any excess dust particles.

Lay the t-shirt as flat as possible on a flat surface etc. table. Make sure there are no wrinkles around the chest area.

3.     

Now it’s time for the tape. You need exactly four strips of tape. It has to make a rectangle and the horizontal strips have to be exactly 12.1cm and the vertical strips have to be exactly 4.4cm.

After you have gotten all your four strips placed down ready to be used make sure you find the center of the chest and place the strips down in a rectangular shape.

5.     

Now you need another 12.1 cm strip of tape. This step is very important, what you will do is to be exact and copy the supreme logo with the same font with a pencil on the tape. When you have written it down you can carefully cut out all the letters and stick them down in the box we have already made.

6.     

When you are done with all the tape you can proceed to make everything ready for the paint. You need to find your pencils one should be a bit bigger than the other, the smaller one is to be exact around the letters. This step is rather easy and what you have to do is just fill in the box with red paint. When you are done filling the box with red paint you should let it dry for 10-20 min.

7.     

After you have let it dry you should put another coat of paint on and after you´re done with that you should let it dry for another 10-20min. repeat steps 6 and 7 if you feel that the paint doesn’t look good and there is still some white showing.

When your done with you´re final coat give it around 30min to dry.

8.     

After your done with painting and have let it dry for 30min proceed to carefully rip the tape off. To be more exact and get a better result use an exact o knife or a pair of scissors. Start with the letters in the middle and then proceed to the box around it.

9.     

When you´re done you should have a box logo t-shirt. There are more steps you can take to get an even better result but it is a bit more difficult.

Steps for an even better result:

To get a better result there are several different steps you can take. As in coloring the stitching and fixing the paint job. I will show you things you can do to get the best box logo possible.

1.    Go over your paint! Look if there are any mistakes. Is there any white showing? And paint that has gone outside the box? These are the questions you should be asking yourself. And if there is a problem then go over it and fix them.

2.    Next, you could go over the sides of the lettering with white paint so you can see the supreme logo more accurately. This requires you to use white paint and a new pencil without red paint on it.

3.    To go over the stitching you will have to take your red paint and mix it with a bit of black paint this will give you a bit darker red. With this, you will have to use a ruler and measure 0.5mm from every side of the box logo in. here you will create another box which will be the stitching. Then using a mix of red and white paint you will go around and on the inside of the dark red box make it look three dimensional.

4.    You can also paint with the pinkish color around the whole box logo to get an even better result.
